Open source · Signal 0.3.0
A small machine.
An open experiment.
Play the architecture. Inspect the models. Run the comparisons.
What’s in the release
- The current exploration: variable-height architecture, forgiving jumps, a short falling reset and terminal-driven crossing reconstruction.
- The 40,994-parameter room model and 353-parameter composition ranker, with manifests and hashes.
- The room-design lab, authored data generators, training scripts and held-out comparisons.
- The shared movement controller, bounded physics verification and labelled fallbacks.
- A standalone demo and checks that run without training or paid model calls.

What the results establish
The room model has not demonstrated better composition than procedural generation. The crossing ranker approximates an authored preference rubric and outperforms a simpler additive baseline on the held-out motif comparison. Running the full rubric directly remains a valid, inexpensive alternative.
Physics verification checks a bounded set of simulated controls. Preference labels are synthetic. These results establish neither player enjoyment nor frame-rate guarantees on every device.
